Housing Task Force Highlights, 2007:

Habitat for Humanity:  St. Luke provided over 60 volunteers to help construct houses in Ramsey in July.  July 23-27 was the hottest week of the year, but we managed to finish three units, including sheet rock installation and painting.

Families Moving Forward:  We resumed our participation in Families Moving Forward and over 20 St. Lukers helped provide food and shelter in the church to five families for a week.

Teens Alone:  Bobbi Pointer and Lydia Kihm presented a program on Teens Alone to members of the Housing Task Force and other interested St. Lukers that indicated the suburban metro has a significant number of homeless teens living in cars or with friends.  We decided to add Teens Alone to our funding projects.
